NEW DELHI, India: Indiamanthan Publications and Media Private Limited has signed an agreement with Switzerland-based M.A.H. International Corporation to help Indian exporters explore options for addressing overdue payments from international buyers.
The agreement was signed by Shrikant Pandey, Managing Director and Founder of Indiamanthan, and M. Amendra-Hauser, President and CEO of M.A.H. International Corporation. Under the arrangement, Indiamanthan will help connect Indian businesses with specialist support for assessing outstanding cross-border commercial receivables.
International trade involves payment terms that may extend beyond the date of shipment or delivery. When an overseas buyer fails to pay within the agreed period, an exporter must decide how to proceed while managing the financial impact of the outstanding amount.
In some cases, the buyer may have financial difficulties. In others, payment may be delayed by disagreements over delivery, product specifications, contractual obligations or other aspects of the transaction. Exporters can find themselves caught between maintaining a commercial relationship and taking steps to recover money that is already due.
Cross-border recovery can add further complexity, particularly when the exporter is unfamiliar with the buyer’s jurisdiction or does not have local support.
A considered assessment can help exporters understand whether a case may be suitable for further action. The relevant factors may include the terms of the agreement, invoice history, supporting documents, communication with the buyer and the nature of any dispute.
Export credit insurance is another consideration for some businesses. Exporters who did not insure a particular transaction can still explore whether recovery options may be available. The absence of insurance does not automatically prevent a claim from being pursued, but the available options depend on the specific circumstances.
Through its agreement with M.A.H. International Corporation, Indiamanthan will help Indian exporters explore a route to have their outstanding receivables assessed.
The financial implications of pursuing an overdue invoice can influence whether a business takes further action. Under a No Collection, No Fee model, collection fees are linked to successful recovery, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
For eligible cases, this structure can allow exporters to explore professional recovery support without committing to a standard collection fee irrespective of the result. Businesses should clarify the fee terms, case eligibility and any other applicable conditions before engaging the service.
The suitability of a case and its potential outcome depend on the available evidence, the buyer’s circumstances and other relevant factors. Recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Indiamanthan Publications and Media Private Limited is a New Delhi-based media and publication company whose publications include The CEO Magazine and Startup City India. The agreement adds a practical business-facing dimension to its engagement with Indian organisations by providing a route to explore support for unpaid overseas invoices.
Exporters can approach Indiamanthan to discuss their circumstances and explore a connection for case assessment. Relevant records may include contracts or purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, agreed payment terms and communications relating to the outstanding amount.
The arrangement is intended to help exporters understand whether further recovery action may be appropriate when payment delays, buyer disputes or unanswered follow-ups leave them uncertain about the way forward.
